Lake City Columbia Community Tennis Association completed four successful weeks of junior tennis clinics in June at Young’s Park reaching 70 participants from the Girls/Boys Clubs of Lake City and the General Public. Three sessions were held in July in Ft. White with eleven more players. The tennis clinics were made possible by a generous grant from the YOUTH TENNIS FOUNDATION of Florida, Inc. and equipment grants from the USTA Net Generation Program.
On July 30, 40 clinic attendees enjoyed a morning of Tennis Fun at Young’s Park at the USTA NET GENERATION RED BALL TEAM CHALLENGE conducted by USTA staff members Liz Coates, George English, Leigh Chak and LCCCTA volunteers. Tennis activities and games were followed by an on court Pizza Party provided by Robinson, Kennon and Kendron. All participants received LCCCTA visors, USTA sunglasses, Certificates of Participation and a great tennis experience.
